Signs of the Times Signed Handwritten letter 1856
Ffep with gift inscription to John McLeod Campbell from Thomas Erskine. Then the signature of Robert Herbert Story, then to P M'Adam Muir from the daughter of Robert Story, with a separate ALS by Story's daughter accounting the provenance. These were three of the most influential men in the early Irvingite movement. The Macdonald's among whom the gifts first appeared were from Campbell's church.

Erskine was among their earliest defenders (though not later) and Story a well-known man among them in the earliest years. A beautiful binding as well! The item "Signs of the Times Signed Handwritten letter 1856" is in sale since Friday, May 1, 2015.
