Also, two handwritten letters by the author (all examples of Sillitoe's handwriting are extremely rare): the first dated August 1, 1989, with hand-addressed envelope, written in Saint-Pargoire and post-marked Hearault, France; and the second, undated (presumably October, 1989, based on context); both being to Mr. April 25, 2010, London, was one of the so-called'Angry Young Men. Of British literary fame, whose brash and angry accounts of working-class life injected new vigor into post-World War II fiction.
